There are places in Monterrey which kind of live on their reputation, thinking they are the best in the city and seem to believe they are far superior to smaller, cheaper restaurants. Complacency seems to be the order of the day in some of these older places because they used to be one of the best. They don’t really play fair as I’m sure they slip a few pesos to El Norte newspaper and Chic magazine here to continue as they always have done, attracting clientele who aren’t that interested in what they’re being served so much as getting a chance to have their photos in the publications because of the “famous” named establishment they’re in.
So it’s time to ruffle some feathers with some fair criticism time and some well deserved praise. And if any of them want to slip me a few pesos then ok but it won’t affect what I will write.
